Types of Gums and Their Benefits

  • Remineralization

As mentioned, certain chemicals like Casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) or Recaldent found in some chewing gums can help prevent mineral loss from the teeth. Recaldent helps restore phosphate and calcium levels in the teeth, repairing and strengthening the areas of enamel that were damaged by bacteria.
